We balance providing the best products we can with producing them as sustainably as possible.

We are not fast fashion. We produce a limited, select range of dresses made from quality materials so that they last year in year out.

We don’t mass produce and manufacture in small runs therefore there is less wastage in the process.

All buttons used are handcrafted from 100% wood and not plastic.

Our products are delivered to our customers in 100% recyclable packaging.

We aim to ship our goods from the factory to the UK by sea rather than air.

Factories and sourcing

Our dresses have a unique pattern block and therefore require a high level of technical skill and precision to construct. Due to this level of specialisation we work closely with only a few factories to produce all of our dresses.

We visit our factories regularly and commit to maintaining a positive relationship:

  • We only use a handful of factories so that we can build relationships to ensure our product is being made ethically
  • We have an ethical compliance team based in our China office who visit each of our factories weekly to ensure that the FigureMade ethical code of conduct is being adhered to.
  • We pay our suppliers 50% upfront and immediate payment once the goods have been shipped
  • Our factories have been SEDEX SMETA audited
  • Regular factory audits to ensure no use of child labour
