it deserves.
Our bodies are shaped differently and do not change uniformly even if we are the same size. As body weight changes, shape changes but for too long, shopping for plus size clothes has meant guessing what fits best based on an unrealistic, industry-defined fit.
Many extended plus size ranges use a smaller size 8 model and use grading for larger sizes, just adding a couple of inches onto the bust, waist and hip. However, as sizes increase (into the plus range) and body shape changes, the seams, folds, pockets and other areas end up in the wrong places. This is the reason why settling for poorly made, poorly fitting clothes have been a constant for years in the plus size clothing industry.
We know there is a better way. It starts with going back to basics and how garments are designed and constructed. Our starting point in the design and fit process begins with plus size models from size 14. We have taken time to understand the plus size body, body proportions and the shape change throughout the sizes.
We conduct at least three wearer trials in a variety of sizes before production, enabling us to perfect our fit.
By producing a small range and working closely with our factories and partners, we can constantly apply what works and improve what doesn't.
